About JJQUE

My name is Laura, and I've been in love with fabric, paper and writing since I was a kid.  My parents opened a remnant shop in 1950 which, over the years, grew into the largest fabric store in northern NJ.  You might say that fine fabrics, trims, and creativity are ingrained in me as part of my heritage.

My brother continued the family tradition, opening a high-end interior decorating business in Florida in the 80s, finally retiring in 2013.  â€¨â€¨Even after giving away stacks and stacks of samples and books - there was a mountain of them left - now destined for the landfill. So of course, they came home with me and went into my closets, cabinets, racks, and a commercial storage bin.  But, it was a big design center, and there's only so much one person can use in her lifetime, so Justified Junque, aka JJQUE (I know, you can't really say it but it's shorter and you get the meaning) was born.

What was once destined to be "junk" is now ready for you to add to your own artistic creations and help build your creative stash. Everyone who crafts MUST have a stash - so all of the scrappy stuff you see here is...by definition...."justified" junque.

Please understand that  most of the fabrics and trims offered are taken from sample books, so there's not an endless supply. There are rarely duplicates and there is no yardage (exceptions are a few quilt cotton fabrics).

When a listing sells - that item is gone.

Of course I use these fabrics and trims to create my own Artisan Journals, so you'll find some of those available here as well, along with paper and ephemera kits printed from the digitals I have created, and some paper packs from my collections over the years.

Thanks for taking time to learn about JJQUE.
